Before you order

The discontinued US Café Roma ESP8XL uses Breville's 50 mm family; Bambino and several Barista machines use 54 mm; the Dual Boiler and newer Oracle machines use 58 mm. Diameter is only the first check: the listing should still name the exact machine because lug geometry, locking depth and grinder-cradle clearance can differ.

01

Diameter is the first filter

Do not move a 50, 54 or 58 mm accessory into another size family. Then verify that a third-party listing names your exact ESP or BES model, especially for replacement handles, bottomless portafilters and dosing funnels.

02

Cradle fit can be narrower than group-head fit

An accessory may lock into the group head yet interfere with an integrated grinder or assisted-tamping system. Prefer listings that explicitly name the machine when the accessory is used in the cradle.

What we do not claim

This is a research-based specification guide. It does not certify every third-party portafilter, basket, tamper or funnel sold under a generic diameter label.
