Exact model before family name
We record the SKU printed on the appliance label. Marketing families and color names are secondary because internal parts can change between series.
OUR EVIDENCE STANDARD
FitCheck Lab is a research-based publication. We do not claim to own or hands-on test every appliance. Our value is disciplined source work, model normalization and transparent uncertainty.
We record the SKU printed on the appliance label. Marketing families and color names are secondary because internal parts can change between series.
Current US manufacturer product pages, manuals and official accessory lists form the evidence base. Marketplace titles are treated as claims to verify, not facts to repeat.
We separate explicit manufacturer compatibility, explicit exclusions and cases where the available record is incomplete. Unknown is a valid result.
Every model record carries its last-check date. We revise records when a manufacturer changes a product page, part number or model family.
SOURCE HIERARCHY
WHAT WE DO
We normalize model numbers, connect accessory part numbers, identify explicit exclusions and explain why a generic listing may still be risky.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
We do not republish Amazon customer photos, copy customer reviews or write “we tested” when our conclusion comes from documents.
