Breville's US BES870 troubleshooting table lists several possibilities for no steam: warm-up, an empty or unseated tank, descaling, a blocked wand, or the dial position. It does not establish that the steam wand assembly needs replacing. Start with the documented checks, not a speculative parts order.

Check the simple conditions first
Use page 29 of the linked US manual: allow heating to finish, fill and fully seat the water tank, and confirm the dial is fully at STEAM. A flashing STEAM/HOT WATER light indicates heating; the manual says readiness follows when flashing stops. Keep hands clear of hot water and steam. Do not interpret every initial discharge of water as a failed component.
If the tip is blocked
Before cleaning, return the dial to STANDBY, switch off, unplug and let the machine cool. Page 25 describes using the supplied cleaning-tool pin; persistent blockage calls for removing the tip with that tool's spanner, hot-water soaking, clearing and refitting it. Follow the complete manual rather than improvising with force. The manual separately identifies descaling as another no-steam check.
What the replacement cleaning-tool record actually proves
Breville's US SP0100227 page is titled Cleaning Steam Wand and names BES870 under Works With. This is a useful record if you are identifying a missing cleaning accessory. It is not a diagnosis and does not identify a complete replacement steam system. When the checks do not resolve the symptom
